God is Healing me
3-24-02 God is Healing Me
SATURDAY'S REPORT:
Friends & Family,
Samuel
Samuel continues to improve. He is speaking more and more. The doctor told
us that he is improving and doing VERY well. He can see, hear, and is
speaking in short sentences. "Everything looks very good."
He opened his eyes once and said to Grandma in a sleepy little voice....
"God is healing me."
Another time when he awoke, Grandma asked him if he could see an object on the wall. He said "yes, it's a butterfly." Grandma asked what color and he said "red". He is able to see, distinguish colors, hear, eat, and form
sentences. We stand in awe of the Mighty God we serve. And everyone says
AMEN!!! Praise the Lord for his healing touch!!!
Cindy
Cindy was able to speak with Samuel today via the telephone. It lifted her
spirit greatly. She firmly believes that we are now out of the woods with
Samuel. She believes we will be bringing him home soon. God is Faithful to answer the prayers of His people. Thank you all soooo much!!!
Cindy is also doing better, however, her blood count is low. She is still
bleeding a little from the wound through the drainage tubes. The blood count
needs to come up, so she can begin to get out of bed onto crutches. We also
need her blood count up so the doctors will be willing to move her. We want
to get her in a wheel chair so she can SEE her son!! Please pray the
bleeding will stop and her blood count will go back up.
Cindy sounded extremely upbeat and full though she did describe herself as
being bed weary. We were excited to hear she wanted out of bed. Sounds like
a good sign to us!!! She is very encouraged about her condition. She said that she can move her feet and toes, and is READY to move the rest of her.
Another "little" miracle.... Cindy said the medical teams told her that the
medical evacuation was the smoothest they had ever done.
Our friend that is there visiting spent the day with her today and has been a
tremendous blessing!! Cindy said it was good to talk with her, and have
someone who could her get the things she needs. A special, special thank you
to her and her family for ministering unto our family!! God uses His people
to meet the needs of His Children! Praise him mightily!!!!
Luke and Emily
Luke and Emily were thrilled they had been able to spend some time today with
Samuel. It was a very special time and they were encouraged to see their
brother. Continue to pray for their emotional healing.
Jeff
Jeff was able to spend the entire day with Samuel today. Cindy described it
as a divine day - God was all over him. She really felt he needed the time
with Samuel and needed to be able to "give" something to him. Jeff was also
able as Samuel dosed to spend a lot of time in the Word and in prayer. Cindy
said he went to bed very full and at peace. Thank you God for lifting him up
and refreshing his spirit. His medical conditions will be evaluated on
Monday to determine the next steps.
Rees and Frankie
Rees and Frankie have been alternating nights with Samuel and are both weary.
Continue to lift them up to our Father. Frankie has been claiming Psalm 112
for Rees. It's been the passage she has prayed for him over the years. She
told us her specific prayer for Rees is that even in darkness His lightness
will shine. We have felt that lightness...her prayers are being answered!
"Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his
commands. His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the
upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his
righteousness endures forever. Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,
for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man. Good will come to him
who is generous and lends freely, who conducts his affairs with justice.
Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever. He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the
Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in
triumph on his foes. He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor, his
righteousness endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honor. The
wicked man will see and be vexed, he will gnash his teeth and waste away; the
longings of the wicked will come to nothing." Psalm 112 (NIV)
God is fulfilling the promises of His Word!!!
