Keep Praying...God's Answering

Friends and Family,
Cindy is doing better. Cindy is convinced she just had a reaction to the
medication. The doctors agree at this point. Jeff indicated the the doctor
thought she saw a blood clot in her lungs, and that they would be running
tests to determine how large it was. After running the tests, they couldn't
find one. That could mean the doctor was mistaken...OR...that could mean
The Great Physician took care of it. Whatever the case, we praise God for
taking care of her. Cindy will remain in the ICU over night just as a precaution.
They have not completely ruled out the presence of a clot and want to
monitor her closely. Cindy prefers being in ICU because she can watch her own
monitors. :) She likes to know how her body is reacting, and it helps with
the language barriers to be able to see the monitors yourself. The doctors
were giving her medicine to help her sleep. Pray she has a restful night.
Cindy was able to walk again early this morning before all of this occurred.
She was scheduled to see Samuel right after lunch their time. The incident
with her this morning has changed those plans yet again. Needless to say,
she is discouraged. They are going to try to set up a phone conversation
between Cindy and Samuel. Pray Samuel will be able to respond to her on the phone. She needs to hear from him.
Samuel continued to be in a great deal of pain for most of the day. His
cries are heart breaking. Rees was able to spend four hours with him
earlier today. The doctors finally agreed this evening to sedate Samuel to relieve
some of the pain. There is a point where intense pain can interfere with
the healing process. Samuel had reached that point. Rees said the excruciating pain is better, his chin and tongue are no longer quivering, his mouth is now closed, the crying has stopped and he is breathing better. He is sleeping peacefully right now. They were scheduled to remove the drain tubes from
his knee. We are not certain if that has occurred or not. Pray for his pain to
continue to subside. Pray God's Healing Hand will touch his little body and
restore it fully and completely.
Jeff and his mom Susan are with Samuel today. Jeff has been released from the hospital. Jeff will spend the night with Samuel in the hospital
tonight.
Rees, Frankie, Emily and Luke were on the way to the hospital for a visit.
Then they will all be returning back to the apartment to get some rest.
Emily and Luke were doing well today.
Rees and Frankie asked that we send this message to each of you....
"Keep praying...God's answering."
In His Hands,
The Nickersons
