and Family,
According to Jeff, the surgery mentioned yesterday was not performed.
Apparently, the indecision of whether or not the surgery would be performed was
because there were differing opinions among the medical staff as to how to
handle the infection. The head physician finally made the decision to let the
antibiotics run their course and to let Cindy go home!! That's right...we
received news from Jeff that Cindy was scheduled to be released from the
hospital today. Needless to say, the Wombles, all of us, are very excited.
Please be in prayer for Cindy. Going home is the next step in her healing
process, but it is a big step for her and for the family. Pray for protection
over their home, for God's Peace to reign in the home, for her physical therapy
to continue to progress smoothly, for the infection to be brought under control,
and for Cindy to sleep well and get much rest.
Friends and Family, thank you for your prayers. We stand in awe of God's Healing
Hand in Cindy's life! She is literally a "walking" miracle. We thank God for all
He has done for her as she has walked this road of healing. We thank Him for all
He is going to do as she takes the next step and the next and the next...
Samuel is getting stronger daily. Jeff said each twenty-four hour period makes a
tremendous difference in Samuel's progress. Please continue to lift Samuel up in
prayer. Please pray for his caregivers and the medical team working with him.
Pray for wisdom, compassion and proficiency in their caregiving. Please pray
Samuel will be able to be with his family at home again very soon. Thank you,
Lord, for your Loving Compassion toward Samuel!!
SPECIAL PRAYER REQUEST: The Wombles are scheduled to hold a Press Conference on
Thursday, May 2, in honor of the National Day of Prayer. Please be in prayer for
them. Pray for the peace of God to rule richly in their hearts, for clarity of
mind, for their words in tongue and pen to bring glory to the Father,
for strength in their weary bodies, and for unity in purpose and spirit. Please
pray God will be glorified in them as they represent Him before the media.
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an
answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with
meekness and fear:" 1 Peter 3:15
