Our Prayer is God would be glorified...

Thanking God for You

4-16-02 Thanking God for You

Friends and Family,

Please accept our apologies for not getting an update out to you sooner today. We have been working on travel arrangements, medical care, etc., etc., and etc., since the wee hours of the morning. Your patience is appreciated.

Your prayers are coveted for the Ministry Team God has organized to prepare the way for the Wombles return. There are so many details to coordinate. We need lots of God-sized miracles to pull it all together. Please be in prayer...

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of you on the Team. You are incredible!! You know who you are...and we thank you...from the bottom of our hearts.

Cindy
Cindy is in an enormous amount of pain. Please pray she will have some relief from the pain. The infection in the wound on her upper leg is not under control yet. Please continue to pray she not react to the antibiotics and they would take care of the infection. No surgery is planned at this time until we get her to the States. Pray we can get her to the States quickly as the surgery needs to be completed soon. She will undergo surgery immediately upon returning.

Samuel
Samuel is still getting stronger daily. He has developed an infection in his knee. Please pray the antibiotics bring it under control. He is exhibiting emotions more and more now. Rees said his sense of humor is returning.

Today, he was picking at the heart patches on his chest. Susan looked over at him preparing to ask him to stop. He looked at her and said, "Why am I doing this. It is silly. I need to stop." She laughed with him. He is coming back...

Our greatest concern with Samuel continues to be infection and his need for psychiatric treatment to deal with trauma issues. Please keep him in your prayers.

Jeff
Jeff needs your prayers. His ear infection has worsened. Rees indicated he was unable to walk straight today without falling into walls. His equilibrium is severely compromised. Please be in prayer for him. We need the infection under control so we can fly them home.

Caregivers
The most critical need right now is to get the family and their caregivers home. We realize you are hearing this over and over right now, but we are dealing with lots of behind-the-scene issues that are disconcerting to us. The caregivers are weary. Jeff, Cindy and children are weary. All desperately need some counseling. Post Traumatic Stress is exhibiting itself in many ways in all of them. We need them to be back in the States so these issues can be dealt with.

PLEASE PRAY GOD WILL MAKE A WAY TO GET THEM BACK TO THE STATES.

We thank each of you for your continued prayers.

"I thank my God upon every rememberance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making requests with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Phillipians 1:3-6

Thanking God for the gift of you,
Nick and Donna Nickerson
